Linking to Pages (Articles)
To Create a link to a page or article, simply put double-brackets around the name of the page like so:
Tangent
Which yields: Tangent
But let's say you wanted your link to says something different - then you would use a "piped" link:
Tangent is cool
Which yields: Tangent is cool
You can also link to pages that do not exist. This creates a link to create the non-existent article:
Article That Doesn't Exist
It is good practice to always put double brackets around any word or topic that you feel may need further explanation - then when someone with time/knowledge wanders by, they can simply create the page by clicking on your link.
Adding Images
To include an image, the image must already be available on another website - i.e. all of the rune pictures in this wiki are actually located on the www.poxnora.com site and just included here by typing the raw address of the picture.
http://www.poxnora.com/images/logo.png
Yields:
Linking to external websites
Well, there are a few ways to do this - the first is just putting the address in plain text - Wiki will automatically turn it in to a link:
http://www.poxnora.com/
Which yields: http://www.poxnora.com/
Or, if you want to be fancy and have your link say something, use SINGLE brackets and separate the link text with a space:
Click here to visit the Official PoxNora site
Which yields: Click here to visit the Official PoxNora site
Creating New Pages (Articles)
The first method of creating new articles involves creating a link to the article you wish to create. Then, clicking on that article will allow you to create the article. As mentioned before, it is good practice to create links to articles and topics that may warrant further explanation.
The second method of page/article creation is to search for the non-existant article. When you search for a non-existant article, in the top few lines of the search results, you will see a link to "create this page" - clicking on that link allows you to create the page. This method creates what is known as an Orphaned Page, which is a page that has no links to it and can only be found by searching. Ensure that you create links to your new page from appropriate pages/articles, otherwise no one will be able to find it.
Redirecting Pages (Articles)
Let's say we have a commonly used slang term to refer to the Mountain Garu - let's say that slang is Fat Ninja. So when we click on or search for "Fat Ninja" we would like to see the Mountain Garu - because they are one in the same. To do this, we create the Fat Ninja page (by either method explained earlier) and enter the following code in the Fat Ninja page:
#REDIRECT Mountain Garu
That's it! Now when people look at Fat Ninja, they'll actually see Mountain Garu
Further - redirection is VERY useful to resolve spelling issues, plural issues, etc. Like lets say we created a link (using double brackets) to Mountain Garus. Well, that's plural - so the page doesn't exist - the page that exists is actually just Mountain Garu (singular). So, to fix it we create the link to Mountain Garus and just redirect it to Mountain Garu like so:
#REDIRECT Mountain Garu
Now, when people click on Mountain Garus (plural), it will go to the Mountain Garu (singular) page. Magic.
If you don't want to go to the trouble to create a new page, in the case of plurals, put the exact name inside, so this:
blah blah blah Mountain Garus
will look like "blah blah blah Mountain Garus" Piped links can also be used the same way as before. So this:
Swamp Octopi
results in "Swamp Octopi"
Organization
To create different level "headings" as seen in the page, use the following code:
== Level 1 Heading == === Level 2 Heading === ==== Level 3 Heading ==== ==== Another Level 3 Heading === === Another Level 2 Heading ===and so on. Once you have more than 3 headings in a page/article, MediaWiki will automatically generate a Table of Contents at the top of the page. To prevent the TOC from showing, put
__NOTOC__on the very first line of the page/article.
Adding Stuff
Adding Common Builds
Per GameKeeper's request, I modified Matki's original "Champion Build" table and threw it in to a pair of templates. This is how you use it (thanks to Matki for the original design):

Which yields:
| Stat | |
| Attack | 1 |
| Defense | 2 |
| Speed | 3 |
| Damage | 4 |
| Hit Points | 5 |
| Abilities | |
| Amphibious | N/A |
| Ass Kicking | 4 |
| Bad Jokes | 2 |
Adding Abilities
Abilities are automated - no need for manual entry.
Adding Conditions
To create a page for a new condition, copy the ability descriptions from the PoxNora FAQ and add the following code to the bottom of the page that describes the condition:

Adding Strategies
To create a page for a new strategy, create the page for your strategy and then go to the Strategies page. On the Strategies page, click on the faction that your strategy is for and add your strategy to the list. If your faction combo does not exist on the Strategies page - you can add it to the bottom using the following Template:
KF/IS
Which would create a listing for KF/IS strategies on the Strategies page.
Adding Categories
To create a category, first make a page that belongs to it. Put somewhere on the page the text

which would make that page belong to a category called "Awesome Runes"
Then click on "Awesome Runes" and edit it normally. To make other pages belong to that category, just add the same text to the bottom of those pages.
If you wanted to redirect to a category, but not list in that category, put a colon in front of "Category", like this
:Category:Awesome Runes
Talk and Discussion Pages
Each user has a Talk Page where you can post messages about them or for them. See Tangent's Talk Page for example.
Each article also has a discussion page. Any discussion you don't want to appear on the article itself goes here.
Signing your Name
To sign your name and the time, use four (4) tilde characters, like so:
~~~~
Which yields: Tangent 08:05, 16 July 2007 (MDT)
